The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) and the Powder Coating Institute (PCI) will, once again, co-locate for their 2019 Annual Meetings to be held June 16-20, 2019 at the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island, SC.
 
CCAI will conduct their annual social activities, committee work and business meetings to start the week, followed by presentations and events held in conjunction with PCI, including a welcome reception, joint general sessions and a golf outing. PCI will round out the week with their association committee and business meetings and the PCI Hall of Fame Banquet. This is the third year the associations have co-located. This concept allows members to reduce the number of meetings they attend each year and lower the costs of attending various meetings.  Members will enjoy all the regular annual meeting traditions and events while gaining the opportunity to meet new industry peers.
 
“I think it’s a great idea! Both associations experience many of the same challenges.  If we can bring the most experienced, most knowledgeable and quite frankly the best in the industry together in one place to learn a little from each other and improve industry, then why not,” said Bill Oney, president of CCAI’s National Board of Directors.
 
“Co-locating the PCI annual association meeting with CCAI is a unique opportunity for our members. Having so much knowledge, expertise and experience joined in one location facilitates networking and the exchange of ideas about products and finishing materials and processes,” PCI president Chris Merritt added. “This broad exchange is across many markets and technologies served by the active members throughout both associations, proving quite valuable to all who participate in the event. The real icing on the cake is having the opportunity to do all of this while having fun at a joint event and growing lasting relationships for the future.”
 
CCAI’s meeting will run from June 16-19 while PCI’s meeting will run from June 18-20.  Joint events and sessions will take place from Monday evening, June 16 through Wednesday morning, June 19.  Several registration categories will be available, allowing members to attend one or both meetings.
